one other thing i forgot, the media isn’t controlled by some giant non living entity, its run by people, guys who have an opinion, and project what they like through their work. so needless to say there are some guys who aren’t totally retarded who share these preferences. sorry to those guys, didn’t mean to throw you into that same “dumb ass” category :P

i think you mean the guys portrayed in media like these women.
don’t confuse yourself, you say the media tells guys they desire something, but what is your point of reference? is it through statistical analysis or are you seeing the guys projected on your TV and confusing them with reality?
I, and many others, do not like fake women. sure, i hate women in suits because it reminds me of school, and diminishes any attractive features, hides natural curves and looks far too corporate or stuck up for my liking. this doesn’t mean the media controls my choices. they also suggest too much make up, no ass, fake tits, blond hair, extremely skinny and fake tans are sexy too, personally i find none of these attractive and have no preference with hair color.
there are a group of guys who’s opinions ARE controlled by the media, these are your average dumb shits who nobody should want to date anyway. perhaps you’re just one of those mind controlled morons who like the guys they see in media and get a shock when you find they share your stupidity…

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We have chubby chasers, nerds, skaters, preppies, etc. Each with their own style and appeal. While it isn’t just about social circles (i.e. skaters + skaters, etc) coz there is an obvious appeal with men for the fake blonds with big tits, but I think there is those we lust over, and those we might fall in love with. But what the hell do I know, I’m just a pickle.

I think this stuff is interesting, but as I always comment on MP, I think there are bigger issues to fight. I am feminine and very opinionated and I really never feel like I have to compromise myself. The media does show the extreme version of what [some] men want, but I think it’s art imitating life more than the other way around. I know plenty of guys who dig thin fake blonds with big tits above any other girls. But my boyfriend digs my piercings and tattoos. Same as some girls want Abercrombie-looking dudes whereas I would rather a skateboarder who looks like he may not have showered yet today.
